Building Information Modeling is a process where a digital simulation of a building design is created for architects, structural engineers and MEP engineers. This model contains detailed information necessary to execute the project throughout its life
cycle. The BIM model represents the whole building or a structure (project) in digital form to help the various stakeholders visualise the layout and design/plan all the different services to be implemented in the project.
The BIM model also helps the engineers to predict the structure's performance after construction and measure the stress the building can hold from the various elements of nature.
BIM modelling can be widely used in various industries like healthcare institutions, commercial offices, mixed-use buildings, educational institutes, retail spaces, stadia, transportation hubs and industrial sites.
